INDICATIONS

MELOXIDEL 0.5% is used in dogs and cats for: 1- The alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculo-skeletal disorders.

2- Control of perioperative pain and nflammation following orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

1- Should not to be used for animals with cardiac, hepatic or renal disease where the possibility of gasrto-intestinal ulceration or bleeding.

2- Should not to be used for animals hypersensitivity to meloxicam.

3- Not to be used for animals during treatment with other NSAIDs, corticosteriods or anticoagulants concurrently or within 24 hours.

4- Not to be used for cats less than 2 kg body wt.

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS

Not to be used in animals less than 6 weeks of age or aged animals, not to be used in dehyderated and hypovolaemic or hypotensive animals, not to be used for breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs, concurrent antibacterial should be given if bacterial infection present.

COMPOSITION

Each 1 ml MELOXIDEL 0.5% contains:

Meloxicam...........5 mg

PROPERTIES

Meloxicam is a Cox-2 receptor preferential NSAIDS

Meloxicam has anti-inflamatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity similar to other NSAIDs.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION Dogs: 0.4 ml MELOXIDEL 0.5% /10 kg. b. wt.

as a single dose By S/C injection.

Cats: 0.3 ml MELOXIDEL 0.5% /5 kg. b. wt.

as a single dose By S/C injection.
